The Sick microScan3 MICS3-AAAZ40AZ1 Safety Laser Scanner is designed for advanced indoor safety applications. It features a 4-meter protective field range and a 40-meter warning field range, ensuring comprehensive coverage for various industrial environments. The device supports up to 8 configurable fields and 2 monitoring cases, providing flexibility in safety zone management.
With a wide 275° scanning angle and configurable resolution options ranging from 30mm to 200mm, the microScan3 ensures precise detection and reliable performance. The scanner's response time is a swift 70 ms, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
Built to meet stringent safety standards, the microScan3 is classified as Type 3 (IEC 61496) and achieves SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and PL d (EN ISO 13849) ratings. It includes essential safety functions such as restart interlock, external device monitoring (EDM), and safe contour detection. The integrated configuration memory and user-friendly interface via USB 2.0 and Mini-USB ensure easy setup and diagnostics.
The robust aluminum housing with a scratch-resistant polycarbonate optics cover provides IP65 protection, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. The device operates reliably within a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C and can withstand vibrations and shocks as per IEC standards.
Applications include automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robotic cells, and other industrial automation systems where safety and precision are paramount.
