Product Description
The ABUS ABUCompact Electric Chain Hoist Brake is designed for use with the ABUCompact electric chain hoists (GM2/GM4/GM6/GM8) and ABUCompact GMC. This integrated DC disc safety brake features non-asbestos linings and operates at a voltage of 3~ 380–415 V, 50 Hz. It provides a high level of safety and reliability, essential for demanding industrial applications. The brake is built to meet IP55 protection standards and is classified under Insulation Class F, ensuring durability and long-term performance. The control pendant is protected to IP65 standards, including an emergency stop feature for enhanced safety.
Service instructions for the GM 800–7000 series brakes include maintaining an air gap between the armature plate and magnet body of 0.4–1.1 mm, with a nominal setpoint of 0.4 mm. Additionally, specific tightening torques are provided for various bolt sizes to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
