The Class 3400 (H34) Smart Meter facilitates enhanced energy monitoring capabilities through its advanced dual protocol communications. This meter can concurrently communicate with two energy monitoring systems, accommodating building automation systems alongside energy monitoring and billing programs or measurement and verification reporting tools. It features an optional expanded package that includes integrated load control functionalities and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh.

The meter is designed with a large 4-line display and supports RS485 and Ethernet communication standards, making it suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. Compliance with ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL ensures that it meets regulatory standards. Its operating temperature range spans from -20 °C to 50 °C, with a maximum humidity tolerance of 95% non-condensing.

Measuring 6.5 inches wide, 7.8 inches high, and 3.4 inches deep, the Class 3400 SUBMETER is constructed with a JIC Steel enclosure and includes three split-core current sensors. With an accuracy rating of ±1% across the full load range, it provides reliable performance for monitoring electrical usage. The input voltage configuration supports both 3 and 4 wire setups while operating at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
