The Class 5000 Smart Meters, designated as H50, facilitate advanced dual protocol communications, allowing simultaneous interaction with up to two energy monitoring systems. This includes integration with building automation systems (BAS) for energy monitoring, billing programs, and measurement & verification (M&V) reporting tools.

Featuring a 4-line LCD display with backlight, these meters support both RS485 and Ethernet communications, ensuring versatile connectivity options. The device is engineered for 3 or 4 wire input voltage configurations and operates within a temperature range of -4 °F to 122 °F (-20 °C to 50 °C), making it suitable for diverse environments.

With an accuracy rating of ±1% across the load range, the Class 5000 meter is capable of delivering precise measurements from 1% to 100% of its rated load. The NEMA 4X enclosure ensures protection against harsh conditions, making it ideal for industrial and commercial applications. Notably, this model does not include current sensors, with split-core current sensor options available separately.
