The PROFIBUS DP Gateway, designated as ControllerE 2Mstr DP RS232, is designed for use as a decentralized controller with integrated PLC capabilities. It supports an operating voltage of 24 DC, with a maximum power consumption of 10 VA and a current consumption of less than 500 mA.

This gateway features a rectangular housing suitable for DIN rail mounting, with dimensions of 131 x 86 x 107 mm and a weight of 558 g. It is constructed from aluminum and galvanized steel sheet, ensuring durability for industrial applications.

The device supports two AS-i masters and provides electrical separation with an insulation rating of 500 V. Communication interfaces include RS232 and PROFIBUS, adhering to the EN 50170 transmission standard with a data transmission rate ranging from 9600 to 115200 Baud. The RJ11 connector type allows for easy integration into existing systems.

Operating conditions are rated for ambient temperatures between 0 to 60 °C and storage temperatures from -20 to 70 °C, with a maximum relative humidity of 95% and a protection rating of IP 20.

For visual feedback, the unit is equipped with a full graphic LCD display along with multiple LED indicators (red, green, yellow) for status monitoring. Replacement units for Krones systems should be sourced directly from the manufacturer, as this unit is not directly compatible.
