The OJ5004 Retro-reflective Sensor from ifm electronic is designed for accurate and reliable object detection. Featuring a robust rectangular housing and a polarisation filter, this sensor ensures precise detection even in challenging environments. It operates on a red light with a wavelength of 660 nm, providing a clear and consistent signal.

With an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC and a current consumption of less than 22 mA, the OJ5004 is both efficient and effective. The sensor includes reverse polarity protection, short-circuit protection, and overload protection, ensuring reliable operation in various industrial applications.

The OJ5004 offers a programmable output function for light-on/dark-on modes, with a maximum switching frequency of 2000 Hz. Its detection range extends up to 2 meters when used with a prismatic reflector, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The sensor is equipped with a front lens made of glass and an LED window made of SEPS, ensuring durability and longevity.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the OJ5004 operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 60°C and meets the IP67 protection standard. It is compliant with EN 60947-5-2 and has an impressive MTTF of 867 years. The sensor also features multiple LED indicators for switching status, operation, and function, providing clear and immediate feedback.
