The Infineon PSoC 4700S microcontroller is a versatile and reconfigurable platform designed for a wide range of embedded system applications. Featuring an ARM Cortex-M0+ CPU running at up to 48 MHz, this microcontroller offers up to 32 KB of flash memory and 4 KB of SRAM. The PSoC 4700S is the industry's first microcontroller to integrate both inductive sensing (MagSense™) and capacitive sensing (CapSense®) technologies, making it ideal for detecting both metallic and non-metallic objects.

The MagSense technology provides superior noise immunity and can reliably detect metal deflection under 190 nm, while the CapSense technology offers best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and water tolerance. The microcontroller also features programmable analog and digital blocks, including a 10-bit ADC, two current DACs, and two low-power comparators that operate in Deep Sleep mode.

With two SmartIO ports, the PSoC 4700S allows for Boolean operations on port inputs and outputs, enhancing its digital capabilities. It supports a wide operating voltage range from 1.71 V to 5.5 V and includes five 16-bit timer/counter/pulse-width modulator (TCPWM) blocks for advanced timing and PWM applications. Additionally, the microcontroller has two independent, reconfigurable Serial Communication Blocks (SCBs) that support I2C, SPI, and UART functionalities.
