The Keyence GL-R24H Hand-protection Light Curtain is designed to provide robust safety measures in industrial environments. Featuring 24 optical axes, this main unit ensures precise detection with a capability of ø25 mm. Its total length of 480 mm and detection height of 460 mm make it suitable for various applications requiring hand protection.

The GL-R24H operates with an infrared LED light source at 870 nm, offering a detecting distance range from 0.2 to 15 meters. The effective aperture angle is a maximum of ±2.5° when the operating distance is 3 meters or more. The light curtain's response time varies depending on the synchronization system used, ensuring quick and reliable performance.

This unit supports both optical and wire synchronization, determined by wiring, and includes a light interference prevention function to avoid mutual interference in up to two GL-R systems. The control output consists of two transistor outputs, with a maximum load current of 500 mA, and additional auxiliary transistor outputs for non-safety-related functions.

Designed for durability, the GL-R24H features an aluminum main unit case, nylon upper and lower cases, and a polycarbonate front cover. It meets stringent safety standards, including IEC61496-1, EN61496-1, UL61496-1 (Type 4 ESPE), and EN ISO13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PLe). The enclosure rating of IP65/IP67 ensures protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
