The NH fuse-links aM are integral components of plug-in fuse systems, consisting of a fuse base, which may include terminal covers and phase barriers, along with a fuse-link featuring blade contacts. A fuse-link replacement device, such as a low-voltage HRC fuse puller, may also be utilized.
Due to the nature of their design, these fuse-links require handling by qualified professionals to ensure safe operation. The aM type NH fuse-links are characterized by their partial-range breaking capacity, specifically engineered for motor circuit protection. They exhibit strong current-limiting properties with minimal power losses, effectively interrupting currents of up to 6.3 times the nominal current (In) until reaching their maximum breaking capacity. Thus, they are exclusively suited for short-circuit protection and must be paired with additional switchgear to guard against overload conditions.
These fuse-links can accommodate a rated current matching the motor's nominal current, and their specifications include sizes ranging from 000 to 3, compliance with CE standards, and construction materials such as copper and silver-plated contacts within a ceramic body. They adhere to various standards, including DIN 57636 Part 201 and IEC 60269-1 and -2.
