Mersen SS200
Surge Switch SPD
Product Description
The Surge Switch is engineered for high-performance in applications requiring surge protection, specifically accommodating surge currents up to 200 kA with an 8x20 µs waveform. It features a compact design and employs a unique contact mechanism that enhances clamping during surge events. This model is particularly suitable for integration into surge protective device (SPD) panels operating at up to 600 VAC.
Built with a body made from glass-fiber reinforced polyester, the switch is designed to operate reliably within a temperature range of -25 to +60 °C. It supports a connection terminal type that is bolt-on and is compliant with various standards, including UL Listing and CE conformity. Its contact materials consist of silver-plated copper, ensuring effective conductivity.
With options for 3 or 4 poles, this switch is intended for off-load switchability and is built to meet rigorous safety and performance standards, making it an ideal choice for high surge current applications.
