Product Description
The Surge-Trap® Modular Surge Protective Device (SPD) is designed as a fail-safe surge suppressor that utilizes Mersen’s patented TPMOV® technology. With UL 1449 4th Edition approval, it can be mounted on DIN rails and incorporates a self-protected design. A visual indicator confirms operational status, while an optional remote indicator extends monitoring capabilities to critical control circuitry.
This model supports a high short circuit current rating of 200 kA, significantly enhancing its reliability in demanding environments. The SPD operates within a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, making it suitable for various applications. Its compact footprint allows for efficient use of space, and it features a thermally protected MOV, which negates the need for additional overcurrent protection devices. The device is configured for a 3-phase delta system, supporting a nominal operating voltage of 480V and a maximum discharge current of 50 kA per phase.
