The 4 pole male XLR receptacle is designed for vertical PCB mounting and includes a grounding feature that connects a separate ground contact to the mating connector shell and front panel. This model aligns with the A series but incorporates a metal mounting flange that provides continuous circumferential ground contact to the chassis, enhancing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
It complies with IEC 61076-2-103 standards and boasts a flammability rating of UL 94 HB. The receptacle has a protection class of IP 40, ensuring adequate resistance against solid objects. Operating within a temperature range of -30 °C to +80 °C, this component can withstand various environmental conditions.
In terms of electrical specifications, it supports a rated current of 6 A and a rated voltage below 50 V. The dielectric strength is rated at 1.5 kVdc, while the insulation resistance exceeds 10 GΩ initially. The receptacle exhibits a low contact resistance of less than 6 mΩ and a capacitance between contacts of no more than 7 pF.
Mechanically, the receptacle features an insertion and withdrawal force of up to 20 N, with a lifespan exceeding 1000 mating cycles. The locking device employs a latch lock mechanism, and the mounting direction is rear-facing, secured with an A-screw. The components are constructed from durable materials, including brass for the contacts, polyamide for the insert, and zinc diecast for the ring, ensuring longevity and reliable performance.
