This retroreflective sensor features a compact design suitable for standard applications and incorporates a polarization filter. With a detection range of up to 3.5 m, it operates using modulated visible red light emitted from an LED source.

The sensor is equipped with an NPN output and is configured for dark-on operation. It includes a fixed cable measuring 200 mm with an M12 plug for connectivity. The optical face has an approximate diameter of 180 mm at a distance of 3.5 m and an opening angle of about 3°.

In terms of electrical specifications, the operating voltage ranges from 10 to 30 V DC and has a maximum ripple of 10%. The device consumes less than 20 mA of no-load supply current. It supports a maximum switching voltage of 30 V DC and can handle a switching current of up to 100 mA, with a response time of 0.5 ms and a switching frequency of 1000 Hz.

Compliance with standards includes EN 60947-5-2:2007 and IEC 60947-5-2:2007, adhering to protection class II with pollution degree 1-2 according to IEC 60664-1. The sensor is operable in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 °C and can be stored at temperatures between -40 and 75 °C. The degree of protection is rated at IP67/IP69K, ensuring suitability for harsh environments.
