Radar Sensor RMS-FRW/31

Product Description

Lifecycle Status:Successor:

The radar sensor RMS-FRW/31 is designed for monitoring escape and emergency routes with its effective detection range of 2500 mm by 3500 mm at a mounting height of 2200 mm. Operating at a frequency range of 24.05 to 24.25 GHz, this microwave module incorporates a minimum detection speed of 0.1 m/s and is capable of being adjusted for setting angles from 0° to 10° in 5° increments. The sensor features a black ABS housing, ensuring protection with an IP54 rating, and is suitable for a wide range of ambient conditions, operating effectively between -20 °C and 60 °C.

With integrated self-monitoring, the sensor provides a performance level (PL) of PL d and falls under category 3 for functional safety. It operates on a voltage range of 12 to 36 V DC, consuming less than 3 W of power. The relay contact output is capable of switching voltages up to 48 V DC/AC with a maximum switching current of 1 A DC and 0.5 A AC, supporting various applications. The device can be operated remotely through a menu-driven control system, allowing for sensitivity adjustments and cross-traffic suppression settings.

Compliance with various standards including EN 62311 and EN 60950-1 ensures that the radar sensor meets essential regulations for safety and functionality. The included 3 m connecting cable facilitates easy installation through an 8-pin strip connector. The total mass of the sensor is 140 g, with dimensions measuring 65 mm in height, 123 mm in width, and 57 mm in depth.
