Retroreflective sensor
The Retroreflective sensor is suited for standard applications and incorporates a polarization filter for enhanced performance. Its miniature design accommodates tight spaces while providing a maximum detection range of 3.5 m. The device utilizes modulated visible red light and has an effective detection capability of 0 to 3 m, with reflector distances between 0.03 to 3 m.
With a diameter of approximately 180 mm at a distance of 3.5 m, the sensor offers a narrow opening angle of about 3°. The ambient light limit is set at 40000 Lux, ensuring reliable operation in various lighting conditions. The device employs a dark-on switching type, featuring a PNP output that is short-circuit and reverse polarity protected.
Operation indicators include a green LED that flashes in case of a short circuit and a yellow LED that lights up when the light beam is unobstructed, flashing when the operating reserve is low. The sensor is equipped with a teach-in key for simplified setup. It complies with various standards including EN 60947-5-2:2007 and IEC 60947-5-2:2007, ensuring adherence to industry safety and performance guidelines.
