Retroreflective sensor ML4.2-54-F/40b/103/115b

Product Description

Lifecycle Status:Successor:

The Retroreflective sensor is suitable for intricate applications, offering a compact design and a polarization filter. It provides an effective detection range of up to 6 m with a red light source operating at 660 nm. The sensor utilizes a PNP output and is equipped with a fixed cable featuring an M12 plug.

This device has a maximum angle deviation of ±1°, with a diameter of the light spot approximately 40 mm at a detection range of 1 m. It can operate under varying ambient light conditions, with limits of 40,000 Lux for continuous light and 5,000 Lux for modulated light. The operational voltage ranges from 10 to 30 V DC, consuming less than 20 mA at 24 V DC.

With a switching frequency of 1 kHz and a response time of 500 µs, the sensor features an LED green indicator for power on, a pulsing green LED for undervoltage, and a flashing green LED for short-circuit conditions. The design ensures compliance with standards such as EN 60947-5-2:2007 and IEC 60947-5-2:2007.

The sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67/IP69K and is constructed from durable materials including ABS housing and a glass optical face. It operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 °C and has a storage temperature tolerance of -20 to 75 °C. The designation code for this product is
