Eight-channel IO-Link Master Communication Module
The IOL MA8 EIP DI8 serves as an eight-channel IO-Link master, designed to simplify the configuration of IO-Link devices via web management tools. It offers support for various communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, MODBUS, and OPC UA, ensuring versatile integration into industrial environments.
Equipped with eight auxiliary digital inputs, this module allows for a maximum input voltage range of 5.2 V DC to 8 V DC, catering to diverse sensor types under EN 61131-2 types 1 and 3. The nominal input voltage is set at 24 V DC, with a typical input current of 3.5 mA, ensuring efficient data transmission with an input frequency of up to 0.5 kHz.
For power reliability, it includes redundant input power supply connections and features plug-in push-in terminals for streamlined wiring. The device operates within a temperature range of -25 °C to 60 °C and is protected by an IP20 housing, constructed from durable polyamide. Its compact dimensions of 45 mm in width, 114.5 mm in height, and 99 mm in depth make it suitable for DIN rail mounting in space-constrained applications.
The module maintains a maximum output current of 200 mA per channel, with a total permissible sensor current of 1.6 A from L+/L-. It also supports a power dissipation of 4.4 W under nominal conditions, making it suitable for demanding industrial operations.
