Product Description

The PT-IQ-3-PB-UT is a DIN rail module designed for surge protection in high-frequency applications. It integrates a protective plug with a base element and features an optical, multi-stage status indicator that monitors the condition of three signal wires with a common reference potential. This device operates effectively in telecommunications interfaces that do not require a supply voltage, achieving data rates of up to 90 Mbps.

Manufactured in Germany, this module complies with IEC test classification C1, ensuring reliable performance even in demanding environments. It has a compact design with a width of 17.7 mm, height of 91.1 mm, and depth of 77.5 mm, making it suitable for installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The device is capable of handling a nominal voltage of 5 V DC and a rated current of 600 mA at 40 °C, with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 6 V DC.

Protection features include a nominal discharge current of 10 kA for line-line and line-ground connections, alongside a total discharge capacity of 20 kA. The voltage protection levels are established at ≤ 90 V for both line-line and line-earth configurations, ensuring operational safety. The response time is notably fast, with a maximum of 1 ns for both line-line and line-earth paths.
