The Fipio communication adaptor is integral to the Modicon Momentum automation platform, facilitating a direct connection to the Fipio Network for Momentum I/O modules. Supporting transmission via optical fibre with specifications of 50/125 and 62.5/125 as well as twisted shielded pairs cable, it enables a transmission rate of 1 Mbps. Weighing 0.11 kg, this module is applicable in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, material handling, and basic machine control.
Compliant with CE, UL, and CSA standards, the adaptor employs a producer/consumer principle for data access and features various fail states, including maintaining value, forcing to zero, and fallback to zero. The topology allows for either extension or tap-off cabling, making it versatile for numerous configurations.
