Type S NEMA motor starters are designed for the full voltage starting and stopping of AC squirrel cage motors, offering ratings up to 810 amperes.

This particular unit is a non-reversing starter, designated as NEMA Size 0, with an 18 ampere rating. It's capable of delivering 3 HP at 200 and 230 VAC, or 5 HP at 460 and 575 VAC in a 3-phase configuration.
