The TeSys GV electrical trip unit with MX shunt trip provides operational functionality for motor circuit breakers GV5, GV6, and GV7. It is designed to trip the circuit breaker when control voltage is applied within the limits of 0.7 to 1.1 Uc, ensuring reliable operation with a signal duration exceeding 20 ms or a sustained signal. This unit is intended for direct integration into the circuit breaker and features screw terminal connections for secure wiring.
Rated for operation at 380 to 440 V AC, 50/60 Hz, the device adheres to multi-standard certifications including IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, and EAC, and is compliant with Green Premium standards (RoHS/REACh). It has a rated insulation voltage of 690 V AC, as per IEC standards, and 600 V AC for UL and CSA compliance. The device operates with a threshold tripping voltage of 0.2 to 0.75 Ue and consumes an inrush power of 10 VA AC, with a hold-in power consumption of 5 VA AC. The operating time is less than 50 ms, ensuring rapid response during operation.
Installation is facilitated by screw clamp terminals capable of accommodating flexible cables up to 1.5 mm² without cable ends and solid cables, with a tightening torque of 1.2 N·m. With a product weight of 0.105 kg, it is delivered in sets of ten.
