Lifecycle Status:
The Modicon TM3 Safety Expansion Module is a dedicated safety I/O that monitors emergency shutdown pushbuttons and limit switches. It adheres to the standards of PL e/Category 4 (EN/ISO 13849-1) and SIL CL3 (EN/IEC 62061). The module features a locking latch, two TM3 bus connectors for seamless linkage between connected modules, a symmetrical rail locking clip, and a display block for the module channels and diagnostics. This safety expansion module complements your Modicon M221, M241, or M251 PLC configuration without requiring a complete safety controller. It includes removable terminals for enhanced wire tightening during installation, ensuring improved reliability.
