The Modicon M221 analogue input cartridge is designed to expand the functionality of the Modicon M221C logic controller by offering 2 dedicated analog inputs specifically for packaging applications. This cartridge supports various input types, including current signals of 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA, as well as a voltage input of 0 to 10 V. With a maximum cable distance of less than 30 meters, it employs twisted shielded pairs cable for reliable connections.

This device features a non-insulated connection between the analog input and internal logic, ensuring straightforward integration into existing systems. The electrical connection consists of 3 x 1.5 mm² on two screw terminal blocks with a 3.81 mm pitch, facilitating easy installation. The dimensions of the cartridge are 35 mm in width, 15 mm in depth, and 41 mm in height, with a weight of 0.015 kg.

Furthermore, this cartridge complies with various standards, including EN/IEC 61010-2-201 and EN/IEC 61131-2, and is certified by multiple organizations, ensuring its reliability and performance in industrial environments. Its operational specifications include a conversion time of 20 ms and a resolution of 12 bits, with an absolute accuracy error of +/- 0.1% of full scale at 25 °C.
