module XPSEC - expanding safety contact capacity - 115..230 V AC DC
The XPSEC safety module is designed to increase the number of available safety contacts on XPS base modules. Operating within a supply voltage range of 115 to 230 V AC and 24 V AC/DC, it provides 4 safety circuits along with 2 additional outputs and removable spring terminals for improved installation efficiency. This module meets the stringent requirements of PL e/Category 4 in accordance with EN/ISO 13849-1 and SILCL3 standards conforming to EN/IEC 61508 and EN/IEC 62061 when linked with compatible modules.
By allowing the integration of additional safety contacts, this module supports various applications including emergency stops, limit switches, and two-hand controls. Its ability to be directly supplied via an auxiliary transformer streamlines installation processes. The removable spring terminals facilitate efficient wiring, ensuring reliability in the control circuit connections.
With a maximum output of 6 A per relay and a conventional free air thermal current rated at 24 A, the module also features local signaling through 3 LEDs. The design includes internal electronic protection and meets regulations for environmental safety, being both PVC-free and mercury-free.
