Key Features

The Modicon MCM Safe Speed Monitoring Module is designed to monitor zero speed control, max speed (limited speed), speed range, and direction. It features a Sin/Cos encoder input with an RJ45 connector and 2 proximity sensor inputs via terminal connections.

The module offers up to four logically selectable limited speed thresholds for each logical input (axis) and has a maximum input frequency of 500kHz for encoders and 5kHz for proximity sensors. It is powered by a rated supply voltage of 24V DC.

The module is compatible with Modicon MCM modular safety controllers, which are certified by TüV SÜD to meet industrial safety standards. It installs on an Omega 35mm DIN rail and connects to the safety controller via a backplane expansion connector.

Dimensions

The module has dimensions of 22.5mm (Depth), 99mm (Height), and 114.5mm (Width) and weighs 0.28kg.
