The AS-Interface compact module K45 functions as a digital A/B slave, equipped with 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs, each supporting a current of up to 200 mA. This module operates under IP67 protection, ensuring its suitability for harsh environments. It is designed for a total current capacity of 500 mA across all inputs and outputs, making it a reliable component for various automation tasks.

Installation requires a mounting plate, which must be ordered separately (models 3RK19012EA00 or 3RK19012DA00). This module does not support rack or rail mounting, but it is equipped with screw connections for secure electrical integration. Notably, it does not incorporate an IO link master and does not support various radio standards, ensuring a more focused functionality for dedicated applications.

With a depth of 30 mm, width of 45 mm, and height of 80 mm, this compact module is designed for space-efficient installations. Its construction allows for straightforward integration into existing systems, while features such as short-circuit protection on outputs enhance operational reliability.
