The TM Posinput 1 module facilitates counter and position decoding for both RS-422 incremental encoders and SSI absolute encoders. This module incorporates 2 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, making it suitable for various applications requiring precise position measurement. It is designed to be used with Base Units of type A0 and can accommodate a supply voltage range of 19.2 V to 28.8 V DC, with a rated voltage of 24 V DC.

With a compact design measuring 15 mm in width, 73 mm in height, and 58 mm in depth, the module is engineered for efficient installation in space-constrained environments. Its power loss under typical conditions is approximately 1.5 W, and it supports an input current consumption of up to 75 mA. The module is capable of handling encoder signals with a maximum counting frequency of 4 MHz and can be configured for various signal characteristics, including pulse encoders and A/B tracks with a 90° phase offset.

For diagnostics, the module includes several indicators and supports monitoring of supply voltage, wire breaks, and counting errors. Integration with STEP 7 TIA Portal is possible from version 16 or higher, ensuring compatibility with contemporary automation systems. Notably, the module complies with relevant industrial standards, ensuring reliable operation in diverse environments.
