The SMC MGPM-Z Standard Guided Cylinder with slide bearing offers a compact and efficient solution for various industrial applications. Designed to reduce weight by up to 24%, this cylinder features a shorter guide rod and thinner plate, making it ideal for space-constrained environments. The reduced space requirement between the bottom of the cylinder body and your equipment, thanks to the shortened guide rod, enhances installation flexibility.

This cylinder supports direct mounting of round type and magnetic field resistant auto switches without the need for spacers. It is suitable for lateral load applications such as stoppers where shock is applied, and ensures smooth operation for pushers and lifters. The MGPM-Z series maintains performance and strength equivalent to the current MGP series, with mounting dimensions that remain consistent.

Three types of bearings are available: slide bearing (MGPM series), ball bushing (MGPL series), and high precision ball bushing (MGPA series). The cylinder is also compatible with various made-to-order options, including heat-resistant cylinders, intermediate strokes, low-speed cylinders, and more.
