The Spirax Sarco DP27 Pilot-Operated Pressure Reducing Valve is designed for precise pressure regulation in steam and gas systems. Utilizing a pilot valve to amplify reduced pressure before it reaches the main valve diaphragm, the DP27 offers a flatter flow characteristic compared to standard diaphragm regulators, especially at low reduction ratios. This innovative design results in lower capacity at the same valve size and increased sensitivity to contaminants, corrosion deposits, and wet steam.

Constructed from durable ductile iron, the DP27 series includes several variants to meet specific application needs:

• DP27: Standard version with metal-to-metal seat and plug sealing, suitable for steam and compressed air.
• DP27Y: Features a calibration spring for low reduced pressure applications (0.2 - 3.0 bar).
• DP27E: Equipped with a solenoid valve on the control pipe, ensuring the valve remains closed when de-energized.
• DP27G: Special version with soft seat and pilot valve sealing for compressed air and inert gases (not for oxygen).
• DP27GY: Similar to DP27G but with a calibration spring for low reduced pressure applications.
• DP27R: Allows remote adjustment of reduced pressure via compressed air to the pilot diaphragm.
