Product Description

The Turck Inductive Sensor, Model BI20-CP40-Y1X, is designed for precise and reliable operation. This sensor features a flush rectangular design with a height of 40 mm, allowing it to be easily integrated into various applications.

With its variable orientation of the active face in nine directions, this sensor provides flexibility in installation. The high-luminance corner LEDs ensure optimal visibility of operating voltage and switching state from any position.

The sensor is rated for a switching distance of 20 mm, ensuring large coverage. It operates on DC 2-wire with a nominal voltage of 8.2 VDC, complying with DIN EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR) standards.

The sensor is equipped with a terminal chamber and is certified for ATEX category II 2 G, Ex zone 1, ATEX category II 1 D, Ex zone 20. It meets SIL2 (Low Demand Mode) acc. to IEC 61508, PL c acc. to ISO 13849-1 at HFT0, and SIL3 (All Demand Mode) acc. to IEC 61508, PL e acc. to ISO 13849-1 with redundant configuration HFT1.
