EDS Factory Sealed Tumbler Switches - PN
The EDS Series factory sealed tumbler switches are specifically designed for environments classified as hazardous due to the presence of ignitable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts. These switches are particularly suitable for use in chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, and other process industries. Constructed with a malleable iron body and covers, these switches feature a sealing chamber made from copper-free aluminum in select models. The handle is made from nylon 6/6, while the optional nameplate mounting bracket is crafted from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, providing durability and facilitating easy circuit identification without the need for costly field modifications. The switches come with a triple-coat finish comprising zinc electroplate, chromate, and epoxy powder coat, enhancing their resistance to harsh environmental conditions. They meet rigorous standards, including NEC and CEC certifications, allowing operation in Class I, Division 1 and 2 (Groups B, C, D) as well as Class II and III environments.
