The Schneider Electric Altivar Machine ATV340 is a robust variable speed drive designed for heavy-duty applications. This drive can handle 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors in open and closed loop control, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The ATV340 is sized to withstand harsh environments, including vibration, shock, non-conductive dust, and high temperatures up to 60 °C. It integrates Modbus serial line communication protocols as standard and weighs 9.5kg. With dimensions of 180mm wide, 385mm high, and 249mm deep, the ATV340 is compact yet powerful. This drive conforms to international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions), IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, IEC 13849-1. It is also CE, UL, CSA, and TÜV certified. Accessories and options such as encoder interface modules, I/O expansion modules, communication modules, braking resistors, line chokes, and additional EMC filters are available depending on the drive rating. The ATV340 can be mounted in a vertical position (+/- 10 °) on a panel, thanks to its four fixing holes. It is fully integrated into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine through DTM and can be configured, controlled, and diagnosed directly in SoMachine and SoMove software using the same software brick (DTM).
