Brickmann was established in 1895, producing leather straps that were primarily sold in Alsace and Badener Land. Between 1936 and 1966, the company expanded its offerings to include technical products related to drive technology and conveyor systems. Later on, in 1966, Brickmann started producing industrial plastics and later, hydraulic and pneumatic components. By 1988, the company had diversified further into manufacturing plant components for industrial and production automation. During this time, Brickmann also established a maintenance department focused on industrial hydraulics.
