Ci4Rail GmbH

Ci4Rail GmbH is a specialized technology manufacturer providing edge computing systems and IoT software solutions for rail and public transport applications. Based in Nuremberg, Germany, the company develops modular hardware and software platforms that enable condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance for rolling stock and fleet operations. Its product portfolio includes the ModuCop AI-enabled edge computer designed to process sensor data locally inside sub-systems like brakes, doors, and HVAC units. Complementing the hardware, Ci4Rail offers the EdgeFarm cloud platform to manage edge devices, orchestrate containerized microservices, and ensure secure over-the-air data transmission. The open-source software environment built on Linux Microservices Platform prevents vendor lock-in while providing robust cybersecurity across the fleet infrastructure. Transport operators utilize these computer-aided solutions to eliminate unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance scheduling, and reduce overall operating costs. In addition to hardware and software components, Ci4Rail provides comprehensive product lifecycle management, data analytics evaluation, and cyber security consulting services. The company serves international rail vehicle manufacturers, public transit authorities, and fleet operators seeking digitalization solutions across Germany and global markets.
