In 1994, GEOTEK began its partnership with PUPI, and in 2000, GEOTEK purchased the assets of Pultruded Utility Products Inc, renaming it Pultruded Utility Products International (PUPI) to reflect global growth. In February 2009, Granite, a Minnesota-based private investment and holding company, acquired a majority interest in GEOTEK.
