The Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) is a powerful alliance actively shaping the future of the Digital Twin, a key technology for Industry 4.0. As a central point of contact for stakeholders, IDTA provides necessary specifications for interoperability and integrates harmonized submodels into the broader industrial landscape. It defines processes, criteria, and tools for creating and testing Digital Twins, and offers pre-competitive training programs. The IDTA's primary tool is the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), which digitally represents every asset, setting industry standards and enabling the technology for all companies, from global corporations to SMEs.
