SENSTRONIC ITALY Srl, established in 1973 in Turin, Italy, initially focused on electronic circuit board manufacturing for the hydraulic and electrical sectors before transitioning into industrial automation. The company developed inductive sensors as an early alternative to mechanical limit switches. In the 1980s, SENSTRONIC ITALY Srl expanded its sensor technology to include capacitive sensors and photoelectric sensors, becoming an innovator in gate-array technology for its products. The company also initiated projects for digital instrumentation and both incremental and absolute rotary encoders. By the mid-1990s, Selet invested in an in-house laboratory for electromagnetic compatibility testing to comply with CE marking regulations and developed its own line of PC-programmable PLCs. Since 2000, SENSTRONIC ITALY Srl has broadened its development sectors and collaborations, acquiring ISO9001:2008 certification in 2011, and participates in international automation fairs like SIAF2012 in China.
