Founded in Turin in 1973 during the city's industrial growth, Selet began its journey by producing electronics boards for the hydraulic and electrical industry. Soon, however, the company realized its true potential in the automation field, and began producing contactless sensors to replace traditional mechanical limit switches. Since then, Selet has consistently invested in new technologies, product innovations, departments, and machinery, and has grown to become ISO 9001 certified in 2011. Selet has a global presence, with distributors, customers, and agents from around the world, and has participated in several international trade shows including SPS Italia and Nuremberg, and SIAF 2012 in Guangzhou, China. In 2014, Selet underwent a major shift in its management, which has helped the company to further refine its approach and improve its look and feel. Selet's motto is to create products for customers as if they were manufacturing it themselves, and to meet customers' needs as if they were their own.
