The Motor Control Center, LLC

The Motor Control Center, established in 1948 at its current location, has a rich history of diversification. Initially involved in the auto wrecking field, the company transitioned to buying government surplus, focusing on truck and tank parts, and expanding into non-ferrous metals in 1952. Between 1960 and 1965, the Motor Control Center processed secondary stainless steel coils from Crucible Steel's Midland, PA plant, marking a significant shift in its operations. By 1965, the company expanded its services to include buying and selling steel mill equipment and providing rigging services. In 1985, a new chapter began with the company's venture into selling pipe, valves, fittings, and reconditioned electrical equipment. This diversification continued until 1990, alongside ongoing trade in non-ferrous metals. Today, the Motor Control Center boasts a substantial inventory of surplus electrical equipment, offering a wide range of parts, including rare finds like used and obsolete circuit breakers.
