Therness S.R.L.

Therness S.R.L. is an Italian manufacturer of AI-powered weld monitoring cameras and inline thermography systems for industrial automation. As an official spin-off of Politecnico di Torino, the company develops real-time quality inspection technology for automated welding lines, robotic cells, and wire-arc additive manufacturing. Their thermal imaging solutions, including HeatCore AI and HeatCam IR sensors, enable inline defect detection for porosity, lack of fusion, and process drift. Complementing infrared monitoring, high-speed visual cameras like PoolDrop provide weld-pool dynamics analysis up to 480 frames per second. Industrial manufacturers utilize Therness inspection systems to automate compliance evidence for ISO 3834 and ISO 17635 standards while reducing rework and scrap rates. In addition to monitoring hardware, the company provides specialized engineering services such as industrial thermography, ATEX IEC 60079 compliance, and welding process consulting. Headquartered in Torino, Italy, Therness serves global automotive, aerospace, heavy fabrication, and energy equipment manufacturers looking for automated QMS integration.
