The Type S combination starter integrates motor overload and short circuit protection within a compact unit, specifically designed for motor control applications. Rated for 3 HP at 200 and 230 VAC polyphase systems, it includes a 30 Amp Class H fuse clip for reliable protection. This 3-pole starter is optimized for polyphase applications and is equipped with a 120 VAC coil, allowing for a 50/60 Hz operating frequency.
Constructed with a painted sheet steel enclosure meeting NEMA 1 standards, the dimensions of the enclosure are 22.50 inches tall, 9.50 inches wide, and 8.34 inches deep. The starter employs a melting alloy type thermal overload relay utilizing Type B thermal units to effectively monitor overcurrent conditions. A variety of replaceable coil voltages are available, enhancing the versatility of this starter. Additionally, Type S combination starters are UL listed and CSA certified, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.
