AF30 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They are primarily used for managing 3-phase motors, non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. These contactors feature an electronic coil interface that accepts a wide range of control voltages from 24V to 500V at 50/60 Hz or 20V to 500V DC.

AF30 contactors are capable of managing large variations in control voltage. They come with built-in surge protection, eliminating the need for additional surge suppressors. The AF series 2-stack 3-pole contactors are designed in a block type format.

The main poles and auxiliary contact blocks include 3 main poles with a non-removable front-mounted 1 N.O. + 1 N.C. auxiliary contact block, along with side-mounted add-on auxiliary contact blocks that are mechanically linked and comply with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1.

AF30 contactors can be operated using either AC or DC control circuits. A wide range of accessories is available for these contactors. Note: 2-stack contactors are available in some countries; please consult your ABB representative for availability.
