Product Description

The EDS Series factory sealed tumbler switches are specifically designed for environments where the potential for ignition exists, such as chemical plants and refineries. These explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof switches effectively contain arcing within the enclosure, ensuring safety during connect and disconnect operations.

They comply with NEC and CEC standards, certified for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups B, C, D; Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III. The construction includes a malleable iron body and covers, with select models featuring a copper-free aluminum sealing chamber. The handle is made from durable nylon 6/6, and an optional corrosion-resistant stainless steel nameplate mounting bracket is available for easy circuit identification.

Furthermore, the switches are finished with a triple-coat system that includes zinc electroplating, chromate, and epoxy powder coating, enhancing their durability and resistance to environmental factors.
