The Class 3400 (H34) Smart Meter is designed for advanced energy monitoring, featuring dual protocol communications that allow for simultaneous connections to up to two monitoring systems. This includes integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy usage tracking and billing, as well as Measurement and Verification (M&V) reporting tools.

For enhanced functionality, an optional feature package is available, which adds built-in load control capabilities and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh. The meter is equipped with a 4-line LCD display that provides clear visibility of data and supports RS485 and Ethernet communication interfaces.

With compliance to ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL standards, the Class 3400 is built to operate within a wide temperature range, from -4 °F to 122 °F (-20 °C to 50 °C), and can handle a maximum humidity of 95% non-condensing. It measures electrical usage in commercial and industrial environments with an accuracy of ±1% across its rated load range, ensuring reliable performance.

The device utilizes split-core current sensors, which are included, and offers a choice between single or two-phase configurations. This meter is enclosed in a NEMA 4X rated housing, making it suitable for various operational conditions while maintaining durability.
