This I/O module is designed for field applications and provides comprehensive process data management through PROFIBUS DP. The FieldModuleDP 4x2DI M12 allows for direct connection of up to eight binary sensors, ensuring effective integration into existing systems.

The module features a robust design with full potting, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. It supports an operating voltage range of 20 to 29 V DC and consumes less than 85 mA. The digital inputs are capable of handling a maximum total current rating of 500 mA, with high switching levels between 11 to 30 V and low levels from -3 to 5 V. Additionally, the inputs are protected against short circuits.

With a transmission rate spanning from 9.6 to 12000 kBit/s, this module is adaptable to various operational needs. Its operational temperature ranges from 0 to 55 °C, while it can withstand storage conditions from -25 to 85 °C. The unit is rated with an IP67 protection class, ensuring durability and reliability in challenging settings.

Mechanical specifications include a weight of 296.5 g, rectangular housing made from PA 6 material, and dimensions of 210 x 30 x 36.5 mm. The electrical connections feature M12 connectors for PROFIBUS and process connections, along with an M8 connector for power supply.
