Keyence GL-R16HG

The Keyence GL-R16HG Safety Light Curtain is designed to provide robust hand protection with its 16 optical axes. This main unit ensures high-level safety in industrial environments by detecting objects with a diameter of 25 mm. The GL-R16HG features a total length of 320 mm and a protection height of 300 mm, making it suitable for various applications where safety is paramount.

Equipped with infrared LED light sources, the GL-R16HG offers an effective aperture angle of ±2.5° for distances of 3 meters or more. The unit supports both optical and wire synchronization between the transmitter and receiver, ensuring seamless operation. Additionally, the light interference prevention function allows up to two GL-R systems to operate without mutual interference.

The control output includes two transistor outputs, which can be configured as PNP or NPN based on the cable type. The GL-R16HG also features supplemental AUX transistor outputs for non-safety-related signals. The unit is protected against reverse current, short circuits, and surges, ensuring reliable performance in demanding conditions.
