The Background Suppression Sensor is optimized for precise detection of PCBs, achieving a detection range between 20 and 50 mm. It incorporates a modulated visible red light source at 640 nm and features two distinct light spots, positioned 11 mm apart, each with a size of 4 mm at a distance of 50 mm. The sensor is designed to operate effectively under ambient light conditions as specified in EN 60947-5-2.
With a miniature housing of dimensions 31 mm (height) x 23 mm (width) x 11 mm (depth) and a mass of approximately 50 g, this device is constructed from glass-fiber-reinforced Makrolon for the housing and PMMA for the optical face. It is rated with an IP67 protection class, ensuring reliability in various environments.
Electrical specifications include a wide operating voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, a maximum no-load current of 15 mA, and an output switching type configured for dark-on operation.
