Product Description

Lifecycle Status:Successor:

This active infrared scanner functions as a light curtain for the individual protection of automatic doors, adhering to the standards set by DIN 18650/EN 16005. It is designed for use on doors measuring up to 1200 mm in width. The system can detect objects within a range from 0 to 3500 mm, with a sensing range of 1000 mm at an installation height of 2100 mm. The light source operates at an infrared wavelength of 850 nm, ensuring reliability in varying conditions.

Featuring a total of 10 beams, this device employs background evaluation in its operating mode. The diameter of the light spot measures 8 cm at a sensor range of 2000 mm, providing effective coverage. The scanner operates at a voltage of 24 V DC with a maximum no-load supply current of 200 mA and has a power consumption of 4.8 W.

For functional safety, it achieves a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) of SIL 2, with a performance level (PL) of PL d, categorized under Cat. 2. The device has a mean time to failure (MTTFd) of approximately 112.7 years and is rated for a mission time of 10 years.

Indication of functionality is provided via multiple LEDs: a red LED for detection and fault codes, a yellow LED indicating teach status, and green LEDs for blank status and DIP switch status. The scanner's control elements include a teach-in key and DIP switches for mode selection. The output is configurable as a switchable NPN or PNP signal, with a maximum switching voltage of 30 V DC and a maxim...
