The FO converter with ST fiber optic connection operates at a wavelength of 1300 nm, facilitating the conversion of 100Base-TX signals to multi-mode fiberglass. This device is engineered for industrial applications, ensuring reliable performance with a mean time to failure (MTTF) of 95.85 years based on MIL-HDBK-217F standards at 25°C and a 100% operating cycle.
It supports a supply voltage range of 12 V DC to 48 V DC, with a nominal voltage of 24 V DC and a typical current consumption of 73 mA. The device features an RJ45 jack for shielded connections and supports Ethernet signal transmission. Its minimum transmit capacity is -19 dBm, while the maximum is -14 dBm, allowing for a transmission length of up to 8 km on fiberglass with a 3 dB system reserve.
For operational versatility, the converter includes link fault pass-through and auto-negotiation modes. It is DIN rail mountable with dimensions of 28 mm in width, 110 mm in height, and 70 mm in depth. The device is built to withstand operating temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 60 °C and storage temperatures from 0 °C to 70 °C, with a permissible humidity range of 5% to 95% (non-condensing). The device conforms to CE standards and is compliant with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, making it suitable for various industrial environments.
