The Altivar Machine ATV320 variable speed drive is a robust solution capable of powering both synchronous and asynchronous 3-phase motors. Its compact design, featuring a book form factor, allows for easy installation within automation cabinets. It operates at a rated power of up to 0.55kW/0.75hp and a voltage range from 380V to 500V AC.

The drive is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, such as ambient temperatures up to 60°C, without the need for additional cooling. It incorporates functions suitable for various applications, including torque and speed accuracy at low speeds, high dynamic performance with flux vector control, and extended frequency range for high-speed motors.

The drive software includes five safety functions that help machines meet safety requirements, whether or not they are used in conjunction with a Preventa safety module. These safety functions can be configured using SoMove software. Altivar Machine ATV320 was designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with simple and advanced application requirements covered in packaging, material handling, textile, material working, mechanical actuators, and hoisting.

It conforms to international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions) and is CE, UL, CSA, NOM, EAC, and RCM certified.
