Schneider Electric B32.0
Class 20 Thermal Unit, Type S, Type B
Product Description
The Class 20 Thermal Unit is designed to safeguard motors, controllers, and branch-circuit conductors from overheating caused by prolonged motor overcurrents. The unit's one-piece construction houses a small heater winding through which the motor current passes. Under overload conditions, the heat generated causes a special solder to melt, releasing a ratchet wheel that spins free and opens the control circuit contacts, thereby opening the motor contacts. This thermal unit responds to overload currents within 20 seconds or less, in accordance with UL512 standards, providing an AIC Rating of 200,000 Amps.
The fuse holder is UL listed and CSA certified, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This Class 20 Thermal Unit is suitable for Type S and Type B applications, offering reliable protection against excessive heating due to prolonged overload conditions.
